Training

Our training is fun, progressive and is useful for a service based or civilian career. Read on to find out more ......

Academic

Our BTEC accredited training covers a wide range of topics from basic navigation right up to what keeps an aircraft flying. The subjects are trained in a relaxed environment with the cadets always being involved.

Leadership

We offer leadership development in the training room and in realistic situations. The aim is to develop the skills in all cadets, which prove to be helpful no matter what you're doing.

First Aid training provides excellent leadership practice, and we often take part in basic first aid courses.

Selected cadets can attend centrally run courses for potential Cadet Non Commissioned Officer (NCO) appointments.  This teaches them how to be NCO's - the senior cadets on the Squadron.

Information Technology

By using computers, cadets learn new IT skills such as preparing a lecture using Powerpoint software.  They can also practice their flying skills using our simulator package.

Staff Training

In addition to initial training in lecture techniques, staff and senior cadets can be trained to teach specialised academic subjects, gain recognised adventure training qualifications and learn new leadership skills.
